You will need the center pole and stake set from your tent to set up your rain fly independently.
The rain fly is made of 210D Oxford fabric, nylon, and coated with polyurethane (commonly used in umbrellas). It adds water resistance while protecting your canvas from dirt, tree sap, and bird droppings.
Note: Stout Tent canvas is treated for waterproofing before manufacturing and does not require a rainfly to resist water. The rainfly provides an additional layer of protection.
While the rainfly provides shade, it does not offer protection from UV damage. Please consider our high-density polyethylene Sunshade if you are looking for UV protection.
