There are so many different ways to enjoy a brewery: tours, beer tasting, great food, and fun events!  Check out these 10 places to camp near a brewery.

 

1. Big Sky, Montana: Lone Peak Brewery / Red Cliff Campground

Nestled under Lone Peak Mountain in beautiful Big Sky, Montana, the Lone Peak Brewery offers cozy seating and a bar where you can sample from their nearly dozen brews. Enjoy their great menu of lunch/dinner delights  and take a look at their selection of cocktails.

Just 13 minutes away on US Route 191, Red Cliff Campground is located in Gallatin Canyon (45 miles north of Yellowstone National Park). In addition to great beer, enjoy fishing, wildlife, rafting, kayaking, horseback riding, and hiking nearby.

2. Carolina Beach, NC: Good Hops Brewing / Carolina Beach State Park

Right on the edge of Carolina Beach State Park is Good Hops Brewing featuring a Beer Garden, Tap Room, and a disc golf course! Established in 2014, this “Neighborhood Craft Brewery” proudly showcases inventive beers.

Carolina Beach State Park covers 761 acres of trail-covered land on Pleasure Island. It features a marina and nearly 70 tent sites secluded under tall trees. Hot showers and bathrooms are located nearby. Set up your Stout Bell Tent and enjoy the salt air as you hike around the beautiful trails. Keep your eye out for Venus Fly Traps!

 

3. Middleton, Delaware: Crooked Hammock Brewery / Cape Henlopen State Park

An amazing aesthetic awaits you at the Crooked Hammock Brewery in Lewes, Delaware. Take a tour and then schedule a Paint-n-Sip with… Porcupines & Hedgehogs, a great event provided by the Barn Hill Preserve, available for ages 12 and up!

Once a World War II coastal defense site, Cape Henlopen State Park seems to have everything! Sand dunes, a bike path, nature center, a fishing pier, a historical museum, and more! 20 tent sites lie adjacent to the Walking Dunes Trail. 4. Pittston, PA: Susquehanna Brewing Company / Frances Slocum State Park

A short distance from the Susquehanna river (an indigenous word meaning “mile wide, foot deep”), the Susquehanna Brewing Company in Pittston, Pennsylvania prides themselves on their ingredients and equipment. With signature, seasonal, and specialty brands, along with small-batch series, enjoy all this brewery has to offer!

Set up your Bell Tent at the nearby horseshoe-shaped, 165-acre Frances Slocum State Park. The big draw is the campgrounds numerous hiking and mountain biking trails, but there’s also a beautiful lake for boating and fishing, and an Environmental Education Center.

 

5. Allenstown, NH: Oddball Brewery / Bear Brook State Park

Oddball Brewing in Suncook, New Hampshire features a Pre-Prohibition lager made with corn, Hallertau hops, and an old-world barley called six-row. For those looking to explore the charm and history of New England, put this one on your list!

With over one hundred camping sites, the picturesque Brook State Park boasts an antique snowmobile museum, conservation corps museum, boat rentals for both Beaver and Catamount Ponds, and two archery ranges! With a variety of options on nearly 40 miles of trails through this heavily forested park, this is a haven for hikers, mountain bikers, and even equestrians!

6. Eugene, OR: Ninkasi Brewing Company / Ninkasi Shamrock Village

The Ninkasi Brewing Company is named after the ancient Sumerian Goddess of Fermentation. This fully-independent brewery is famous for having the top-selling IPA in Oregon! Come for a brewery tour and enjoy your beer with a delightful menu at the dinner club.

Just steps from the brewery, your tent site at Aquia Pines Camp Resort will be nestled in the woods, with access to restrooms, laundry, a pool, and showers. Small and large sites are available.

10. Dallas, Texas: Lakewood Brewing Co. / Oak Cove Marina

Family-owned and independent, Lakewood Brewing Company offers seasonal, limited release, and year-round favorites. Their 4000 square foot covered beer garden (with a stage!) is available for private events. In the taproom, you have access to a private bartender! Recommended: Hop Trapp, a Belgian-style IPA.

The Oak Cove Marina is also family-owned and they pride themselves on offering a family-friendly atmosphere and well-maintained facilities. Fishing is the big draw and securing a site on the water will enhance the experience. A boat ramp, dock, and slips make tending to your craft easier, and boat rentals are available.
