What ventilation and utility features are included for glamping comfort?
The tent features our signature tub-style, heavy-duty ripstop PVC waterproof groundsheet that completely zips away for easy cleaning. It also includes our signature double-wall secondary bug-netted mesh layer directly behind the canvas sidewall, allowing you to unzip and roll up the canvas layer to enjoy the breeze while keeping insects out. High Humidity and Moisture
In areas with high humidity, tent lifespans tend to be shorter. Mold develops quickly in these climates—one of our long-term customers, who operates a tented lodge in the rainforest, even reports that mold grows on the bed sheets at times. Regular cleaning and ventilation are key to minimizing this.

High UV Rays and Wind Exposure
Constant sun and wind can be hard on any canvas tent. Many owners successfully manage these conditions, but tents can be damaged when left up a little too loosely or for too long. In hot, sunny regions like Arizona, California, Utah, or Colorado, expect only a single season out of the canvas unless you use a rainfly or sunshade. I ordered this tent after researching bell tents for the last couple of years.

I ordered this tent after researching bell tents for the last couple of years. I was nervous at first about the quality and ease of set up. I can say after only 1 use this tent is incredible the quality is outstanding and It was easy to set up it took me just over 30 minutes for the first set up by myself. This tent also held up to a large thunderstorm/ torrential downpour not only did it not leak but it held up to 30 Km/hr winds. I have never had a tent stay this dry with that much rain. I am so thankful that I took the plunge and purchased this beauty. It will be part of our camping adventures for years to come thank you, Stout!

This tent is great!

This tent is great! First it is amazing quality! Second, it is beyond easy to put up, and we were first time bell tent users!!! Finally, this company is amazing. I have recommended this tent to lots of people already and I can't wait to continue to use it for years to come.
We only use it for fun and short camping trips, but it goes up and down quickly and easily. When we used it the first time it rained a lot and was little windy and it stayed up perfectly and dry inside.

This thing is amazing!

After 5+ years of my wife talking about and asking for a stout tent we finally pulled the trigger…..I will say with 100% confidence that we could not be happier! This thing is amazing! We setup the first time with no instructions within an hour and now with the knowledge of how everything goes it will be a snap. We had a Queen mattress (with a headboard) and 2 twins for our 2 toddlers setup and still plenty of room for moving around, changing, kids to play, etc. Everybody we camped with couldn’t help but to come inside and be blown away by the amount of space provided. If you are on the fence then let me tell you as a skeptical consumer, do not wait any longer and order it today!

Best friggin investment ever.

I have had this stout tent for years now and every time I use it, I end up saying, "Best friggin investment ever." This last Feb, I was at an SCA event that rained 10" in one evening. Other camps were flooded out and ended up digging trenches to avoid the hellish rivers entering. Not me! I stayed warm and dry the entire time!

More recently, I organized a summer solstice trip into the mountains (about 10,000 feet in elev.) where we expected nothing but hot weather. Welp, Colorado decided rain and then snow. For four days, all the other campers were huddled in my stout tent while a heavy June snow hounded us. Not only was my tent dry and warm, but it didn't sag under the very, very wet snow. Only tightened a few of the lines once and the extended awning kept all of the supplies outside dry as well.

I really can't say enough good things about this tent. It's heavy and not the kind of thing for backpackers, but I'm a long-term camper and I stay out for weeks on end. This is the tent to do it with. Next purchase? One of those wood burning stoves.
