If you’re like me, the best gifts are the ones you use outdoors. Camping, hiking, biking, taking the kids out or going solo – there are so many ways to enjoy the outdoors. I’ve put together a list of my favorite tools, tents, and gear to enjoy the outdoors all summer long.

A must have for all you Overland fans. The Yeti Mugs are now essential when I go camping. I didn’t know it was possible to geek out over a mug, but they really are that good. The YETI Rambler® 14 oz. Unlike traditional camp mugs, this double-wall vacuum-insulated body protects hands from hot or cold contents while keeping coffee, chili, oatmeal – you name it – well-insulated.
Yeti 400 Lithium
One of my best investments yet. Reliable for charging phones and laptops (work from tent), and nice to have around when the power goes out during those Vermont storms at home too. Designed for charging phones, tablets, cameras, and more, the Goal Zero Yeti 400 Lithium can also be used as an alternative to a gasoline-powered inverter generator, running small appliances, lights, even medical devices during short power outages.
The Ridge Wallet Starting
Slim, secure, and hardy. The Ridge is a minimalist, RFID-blocking wallet. The main cardholder uses elastic to expand to hold up to 12 IDs and credit cards.
iKamper Roof Top Tent
Definitely on the pricier side, but take a look at these features and you’ll understand why. Load the hard shell case right onto the top of your vehicle and head to your destination. Once you arrive, it’s literally just minutes to set up your tent. Sleeps up to 4 and can fit a king mattress.
Leatherman Skeletool Knife/Multitool
Can you ever have enough leathermans? I love this one made in Portland, OR. At a mere five ounces, the Leatherman Skeletool has a stainless steel combo blade, pliers, bit driver, removable pocket clip and carabiner/bottle opener. The Skeletool is just what you need in one good lookin’ package.
Olight s2r Baton II Flashlight
A solid flashlight is an absolute staple of the outdoor world. I like this one. It has a CW LED with a maximum output of 1,150 lumens, a customized 3200mAh 18650 rechargeable lithium battery which is charged magnetically through the tailcap charging cable and a flat tailcap with a strong magnet allowing the ability to use as a hands-free work light.
