About The Durango
Our tipi-style event tents have their roots in the traditional Nordic Kata tents used by the Sarni people of northern Europe. The tents are conical in shape with sturdy earth-toned canvas wrapped around natural timber poles reaching 24 feet at the peak. They are made to withstand the elements with high-quality weatherproof and flame-retardant canvas.
The best part about adding these spacious tents to your event is their versatile design. Multiple tents can be linked together with walls up, down, or a combination of the two, making them the perfect option for any event during any season. With the walls raised, they provide a spacious, airy event space during warmer months, and with the walls down, they offer a cozy venue perfect for chillier months.

DELIVERY
Option 1 – Shipping
When it comes to delivering our large event tipis to you, we have a streamlined process in place. We take care of arranging the shipment through palletized or less-than-truckload (LTL) shipping. To ensure you get the best deal, we obtain quotes from up to three transport companies and select the most cost-effective option for you.
The price of shipping can vary depending on factors such as the number of tipis in your order and your location. However, we suggest allocating around $2,500 in your budget for shipping costs. It’s worth noting that the length of the tipi primarily determines the shipping cost, so the price increase for ordering multiple tipis together is minimal. This means consolidating your order by adding more tipis won’t significantly impact the shipping expenses.
Option 2 – Pickup
If you prefer a more hands-on approach, we offer you the option of picking up your tipi directly from our warehouse in Indiana (IN). This allows you to personally oversee the transportation of your tipi and eliminates the need for shipping arrangements.
Please keep in mind that the longest poles of our tipis measure 36 feet. You will need a trailer that accommodates this length to ensure safe and secure transport. We recommend either a 40-foot enclosed trailer, which allows for a 6-foot buffer, or a 32-foot open trailer, where the poles can extend over the top. These trailer options will ensure that your tipi is properly supported and protected during transportation.
By choosing the pickup option, you can collect your tipi directly from our warehouse, giving you control over its transportation and allowing you to select the appropriate trailer size for a smooth journey.
